ACQUIRE Program

The Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) Foundation, the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), the American Society of Neuroradiology (ASNR), and the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) are co-sponsoring the 2024-2025 Applying Comparative effectiveness and Quality Improvement Research and Education (ACQUIRE) Program. This interactive program will introduce the tools for research in health care delivery and clinical effectiveness, practical skills, peer support, and mentored research in the form of an intensive hybrid learning program.

SIR Foundation is sponsoring up to four IR candidates who apply to the Radiological Society of North America's (RSNA's) 2022–2023 Advanced Course in Grant Writing. If selected through RSNA's review process, the top four IR candidates will automatically be awarded the SIR Foundation sponsorship.

Academy Council of Early Career Investigators in Imaging (CECI²)

SIR Foundation encourages members to nominate an early career investigator to join the CECI2 class of 2024-2025. The purpose of this Council is to recognize and promote the early career achievements of researchers, engage them in advocacy for research funding, create cross-institutional educational programming, and facilitate diverse networking opportunities.

SIR Foundation education sponsorships

SIR Foundation is dedicated to providing opportunities to SIR members to foster their careers. For this year, SIR Foundation has partnered with other organizations, including the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) and the American Society of Neuroradiology (ASNR) to help SIR members further their research careers. These programs will provide our members with new skills ranging from comparative effectiveness research, grant writing and clinical trials methodology.

SIR Foundation encourages members to nominate an early career investigator to join the CECI2 class of 2024-2025. The purpose of this Council is to recognize and promote the early career achievements of researchers, engage them in advocacy for research funding, create cross-institutional educational programming, and facilitate diverse networking opportunities. The advocacy efforts and opportunities are led by Academy staff. A year-long virtual program is designed by the investigators themselves, who are most suited to identify what they need and how they can best benefit from Academy resources
