Congratulations to the 2022 SIR Foundation Special Funding Grant recipients!

The Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) Foundation is pleased to announce the four grant recipients of the 2022 Special RFPs (General and Standardized/Structure).The total amount awarded was $1.5 million and could not have been possible without the support of our donors and corporate partners, such as Varian Medical Systems, Inc.. These donations allow us to meet our mission to foster IR research and help our members care for their patients.

The first opportunity was created to encourage exploratory/developmental research by providing support for the early and conceptual stages of project development for multidisciplinary, minimally invasive/locoregional therapy experiments in the field of interventional radiology (IR). The second research opportunity was created to encourage high impact IR developmental research using structured reporting and a registry-based approach.

The recipients listed below were selected through an established competitive review process.
