Innovation and Research in Interventional Radiology - (IR)2

The Innovation and Research in Interventional Radiology (IR)2 conference was designed by the SIR Foundation to bring together interventional radiology researchers and clinical practitioners, non-interventional radiology physicians and scientists, members of industry, and government funding agencies for the purpose of cross fertilizing research ideas and identifying areas of research priority for the future. Initiated in 2002, (IR)2 programs promote the development and adoption of innovative approaches to interventional medicine and provide interventional radiologists with educational research forums on emerging technologies and procedures. By organizing and leading a forum for multidisciplinary interactions, SIR Foundation provides the opportunity for researchers and clinical practitioners to become vested and involved in the expansion of new areas of research and the development of new technologies that can enhance patient care in the future.

Innovation and Research in Interventional Oncology (IR)2: Basic Science of Interventional Oncology November 30 - December 2, 2005 Chicago, IL The 2005 Innovation and Research in Interventional Radiology (IR)2 meeting will be presented as part of an Interventional Oncology Symposium to take place November 28 - December 2, 2005 in conjunction with the Radiology Society of North America (RSNA) Annual Meeting. The SIR Foundation and the RSNA have collaborated to create a 4½ day Interventional Oncology Symposium that will explore cutting edge research in the basic science of interventional oncology and will include a series of state of the art clinical presentations.
